Romanian legend has it that the city of Bucharest was founded by a shepherd named Bucur, whose name literarily means “joy”. It is known for its wide, treelined boulevards,glorious buildings and a reputation for the high life. In the 1900s, Bucharest earned its nickname of “Little Paris”.There are also some history & art museum like the Minovici Museum of Ancient Western Art, Grigore Antipa Natural History Museum and Communist Iconography Museum.
